Home Inspection Seattle
My home inspections meet and in many cases exceed the standards established by the industry (available on the Web sites of the National Association of Certified Home Inspectors and American Society of Home Inspectors).
I use a variety of techniques and tools to inspect:
- Grounds Inspection – grading, retaining walls, walkways, driveways, patios, fences, gates, outbuildings
- Roof Inspection – covering, vents, chimneys, skylights, flashings, gutters, downspouts
- Structural Component Inspection – foundation, support structures, framing, sheathing
- Insulation and Ventilation Inspection – attics, walls, floors, crawl spaces
- Exterior Inspection – siding, doors, windows, trim, decks
- Electrical Inspection – service entrance, disconnects, main and sub panels, grounding, bonding, switches, receptacles (including ground and arc fault circuit interrupters), smoke detectors
- Plumbing Inspection – water and gas supply lines and shut-offs, water pressure, functional flow and drainage, fixtures, vents, traps, drains, water heaters and safety valving
- HVAC Inspection – controls and thermostats, components, supply and discharge lines, venting, ductwork, registers
- General Interior Inspection – ceilings, walls, floors, doors, cabinetry, appliances
