I became a home inspector at the urging of another inspector who thought I had the “right stuff” for the profession:

 

  • I have a background in construction – I’m from a family of builders and have completely remodeled three of my own homes
  • I’ve completed specialized training from Inspection Training Associates, a recognized leader in the home inspection field, and continue to take classes and seminars to keep abreast of developments in the home construction industry
  • I’m certified as a structural pest inspector by the Washington State Department of Agriculture and a member of the Washington State Pest Control Association
  • I’m also a member of the National Association of Certified Home Inspectors and follow its code of ethics and standards of practice
  • I’m licensed and carry full errors and omissions as well as general liability insurance.
